Description

Self-Service Cash Payment Kiosk for Service Halls and Bill Payment

KER Self-Service Cash Payment Kiosk is an unattended payment terminal designed for telecom operators, broadband service centers, utility companies, property management offices and other public service locations.

Customers can retrieve an outstanding bill by entering an account number, customer code or mobile number, or by scanning a QR code or barcode. After confirming the payable amount, they can insert accepted banknotes and coins to complete the transaction independently.

Once payment is confirmed, the kiosk can transmit the payment result to the customer’s billing or account-settlement system and print a receipt or transaction voucher.

By moving routine cash collection away from staffed counters, the kiosk helps reduce queue times, lower cashier workload and extend payment services beyond normal business hours.

Bill and Account Lookup

The kiosk can retrieve customer bills through different identification methods.

Available options may include:

  • Customer account number
  • Contract number
  • Mobile phone number
  • Broadband subscriber number
  • Utility meter number
  • QR code scanning
  • Barcode scanning
  • Membership card
  • RFID or NFC card
  • ID card, subject to project requirements

After identification, the screen can display the customer name, service type, billing period, outstanding amount and transaction details.

Banknote and Coin Acceptance

The terminal can be equipped with banknote and coin acceptance modules according to the target currency.

Possible functions include:

  • Banknote denomination recognition
  • Counterfeit banknote detection
  • Coin denomination recognition
  • Real-time inserted-amount display
  • Accepted-denomination configuration
  • Banknote cashbox-full warning
  • Coin-box status monitoring
  • Jam and fault detection
  • Transaction and cash records

The supported denominations depend on the selected modules and local currency dataset.

Exact-Payment or Automatic-Change Mode

The machine can be configured according to the operator’s payment policy.

Exact-payment mode

The customer must insert the exact payable amount. This configuration is simpler and reduces the number of dispensing modules required.

Automatic-change mode

Optional coin hoppers, coin recyclers or banknote dispensing modules can return excess payment automatically.

Possible change configurations include:

  • Coin-only change
  • Small-banknote change
  • Combined banknote and coin change
  • Multiple change denominations
  • Configurable payout priority
  • Low-change warning

The final configuration should be selected according to bill amounts, target currency and expected daily transaction volume.

Billing and Account Settlement Integration

The kiosk can connect with the customer’s billing or business-support system through API, SDK, middleware or other supported interfaces.

Possible integrations include:

  • Telecom billing system
  • Broadband BOSS platform
  • Utility billing system
  • Property management system
  • Government payment platform
  • Hospital payment platform
  • Membership or account-recharge system
  • ERP or financial system

  3. Receive and validate cash
  4. Confirm the payment amount
  5. Send the payment result to the billing platform
  6. Complete account settlement
  7. Print a receipt
  8. Store the transaction record

The final integration scope depends on the customer’s workflow and available interface documentation.

Receipt and Payment Voucher Printing

An optional thermal printer can print:

  • Payment receipts
  • Bill settlement confirmations
  • Customer account information
  • Transaction reference numbers
  • Service vouchers
  • Queue numbers
  • Promotional coupons
  • Customer service contact details

A 58mm or 80mm thermal printer can be selected according to the required paper width and roll capacity.

  • Mobile payment codes
  • Appointment verification
  • Electronic coupon redemption

This reduces manual input and improves the speed of bill retrieval.

In addition to cash, the kiosk can integrate:

  • Credit and debit card payment
  • Contactless NFC payment
  • QR code payment
  • Mobile wallet payment
  • Membership account deduction

  • Amount due
